Someone who hasn't really had much
time to update his personal information in the last couple
of years!
But after some prodding by certain friends of mine, I'm
not only having a bit of an update of my personal details,
but a complete revamp of my website! One of my more
artistically inclined friends is giving me a hand with
it (I would have said 'Artsy-Fartsy' friends, but I'm
sure he'd end up doing damage to vital parts of my
anatomy if I said anything like that)
Ok - who am I? that's a good question and one not easily
answered, I'm a lot of things.
Some people say you are what you do, if that's the case
then I'm a geeky computer type person... well that
is if you've got a computer problem, I can usually
fix it or at least figure out how to if you give me
enough time.
Other people say that you are what you like, if they're
right then I'm a bookworm/wanna-be author. I enjoy
a good book as much as some of my friends enjoy a cold
beer! And writing something that I enjoy writing can
take up so much of my time that I forget to eat or
sleep.
The third mode of thought is that you are what you eat,
in which case I'm chocolate! or steak or something
else that's nice to eat but really bad for you!
As for the Darkwind name, I came up with that nearly
a decade ago when I was more into Role Playing, a friend
of mine did up some artwork showing what the character
looked like (at the top of the page in case you're
wondering) - he looks nasty, but he's really not quite
as bad as he looks.
I've kinda toned down my writing fanfics in the last
year or two, what I wrote is listed on the Fanfics
Page. If anyone wants to discuss anything related to
my stories there'll be a forum up soon which will have
a section for that - or if you like you can e-mail
me.
I'm going to try to include more information from my
day to day work with this site. For example I'm going
to start putting up articles that I think are useful
from an IT perspective, as well as doing a few reviews
for new anime series that I've been watching. Along
a similar line there will be a section of the site
dedicated to the Fansub Distro group based on the Gold
Coast called 'Anime Excess' - the guys who run it are
friends of mine and since they run it as a non-profit
organisation they could do with someone donating a
bit of web space and a couple of e-mail accounts to
them.
I've taken down my resume, anyone who wants to seriously
look at it - e-mail me and I'll send it to you.
Thanks to everyone who's still visiting my site after
all this time, hopefully over the coming weeks it will
turn into more of an anime/IT information site than
it has been previously. And who knows I might come
up with some new story ideas in the near future.
